This website was developed by Kurt Hockemeyer, Mark Renz, Paul Koch, Doug Soldat, and Chris Williamson from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in conjunction with the University of Wisconsin Extension.

Fungicide efficacy ratings were conducted in collaboration with Dr. Bruce Clarke from Rutgers University and Dr. Paul Vincelli from the University of Kentucky and reflect the efficacy ratings provided in ‘Chemical Control of Turfgrass Diseases’. The only exception is the rating for Gray/Speckled Snow Mold, which is not included in the ‘Chemical Control of Turfgrass Diseases’ and were based off the University of Wisconsin – Madison Snow Mold Fungicide Testing Program. The ‘Chemical Control of Turfgrass Diseases’ can be downloaded for free by visiting the University of Kentucky’s web page (http://www2.ca.uky.edu/agcomm/pubs/ppa/ppa1/ppa1.PDF).

Herbicide efficacy ratings were conducted in collaboration with Dr. Aaron Patton from Purdue University and reflect the ratings included in ‘Turfgrass Weed Control for Professionals, 2017 edition.’ This excellent publication contains in depth information about each weed, in addition to control recommendations, and can be purchased from the Purdue Extension website (https://mdc.itap.purdue.edu/item.asp?Item_Number=TURF-100).

Insecticide efficacy ratings were not conducted because that information is not available. Instead, insecticides labeled for particular insect pests are listed and include comments for optimizing pest control and limiting non-target impacts. This information was created in collaboration with University of Wisconsin – Madison Turf Entomologist Dr. Chris Williamson.
